MAS Turtle POWER by theMASman MAS Turtle POWER by theMASman
This one was long overdue for colors. All my friends that saw the pencils before hand and saw I had colored Raph but never got round to finishing the other 3. So I was always getting asked if I'd ever color each Turtle into one pinup. So I finally pumped this one recently when I shoulda been finishing up other work :work: .... but that'll just be our little secret tho. ;)

I'll probably still go back into this at some point to spruce it up a bit more because I get like that sometimes plus like I said, I should be doing other work. :police: and getting some good --->

So I was beating the clock everytime I went in coloring this thing.

I'd do a TMNT comic in a heart beat!!!! :D They were the first characters I ever drew even when I was in diapers drawing on the walls. So at this point, drawing any TMNT character is like breathing.

Pencils - 6 Hrs (90 mins each Turtle just about)
Colors - 24 Hrs (Off and On thru the course of many weeks of procrastinating with it)

And NO I DID NOT USE A WACOM!!! Haven't for the last 5 years when I color my work. More so because I'm drawn out by the time I finish my pencils I don't wanna feel like I'm drawing again with a wacom pen. So using a mouse is more like finger-painting to me. If I ever succumb to using one it will be for veeeeery fine last minute details like hair strands and small stuff. Not opposed to using one at all and I know I will for certain works, but like I said, I love my mouse more. :D

Anyway I love every last character so its hard to pick a favorite Turtle but I gotta go with Don :tmnt4: on this one. He earned alot of kudos when I was playing the video games with that long ass bo. :D

:tmnt2: :tmnt3: :tmnt1: :tmnt4:

You did that with a mouse?!  Truly amazing!  I didn't think you could get that amount of precision with a mouse!  I love it!

You are quite welcome. :) My friend REALLY wants a Cintiq. Which size did you get, if I may ask?

Ive had the Wacom Cintiq 12WX for a few years now. I want to dig into the new ones since the older models came with a CRAPLOAD of wires (hence making portability a bitch) but given how much the new ones that dont have that problem are going for..... I'll wait

  I hear that!  My friend has been looking up reviews for a couple of years now.  She wants to get one so that she has a back-up for when her old tablet laptop finally quits working.  That way she isn't left hanging.  :XD:

How are you liking your Cintiq?  Other than the portability issues.  ;)  Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions.

I LOVE IT!!!! Very responsive and speeds up my productivity waaaay quicker than a mouse. It took some getting used to the comfort of it since coloring with a mouse stiffened my hand up more, hence I wasnt getting used to how different each stroke would come out since its so pressure sensitive, but after couple weeks with it I was fine. I like the Intous Tablets too but the occasional looking up and down to see how far you will draw off the pad can throw me off a bit. I like seeing whats right in front of me when Im drawing. I'll never go back to coloring with a mouse unless mine was getting repairs on it. Best art investment any illustrator can have.
